This privacy policy describes how OpinionPLUS collects and uses the personal information you provide on our web sites: and  It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your personal information and how you can access and update this information.

Security is the key to our shared success. Each element of OpinionPLUS is designed to fiercely protect our members’ privacy and information. We make no distinction between “personal” and “non-personal” information — we protect both equally. And we are 100% transparent with our members about our policies, their data, and how to safely leave our programs.

Any information conveyed to our clients is on an anonymous basis, unless specifically approved by a Member through a proactive, opt-in choice.

Information We Collect
We request the following data from you:

  • Contact information, e.g. your name and email address
  • Unique identifying information such as a password. Your password is stored with encryption and is not visible to the OpinionPLUS support team. is encrypted and is not available

We also collect the following demographic information and use it determine which surveys you may be eligible for:

  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Marital Status
  • Health Information
  • Employment/Industry Focus

We use this information to:

  • Develop site updates to improve user experience
  • Respond to customer service requests
  • Administer your account and reward points
  • Send you quarterly newsletters
  • Administer targeted surveys and product tests

Information Sharing
We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy policy.  We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as sending you newsletters. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.

We may also disclose your personal information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process; when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request. If OpinionPLUS is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of any portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or via a prominent notice on this web site. Any change in ownership or transferral of your personal information will only be done with the express content of you, the membership.

Clients are not permitted to directly contact the OpinionPLUS membership without company approval. Members’ personal information will never be released to an outside source, except as outlined in our privacy policy or unless legally required as defined in the OpinionPLUS privacy policy.

Clients are only permitted to interact directly with the OpinionPLUS membership through approved and member consented activities. All other member communications will be through OpinionPLUS.

Followup Contacts and/or In-Person Opportunities
OpinionPLUS will oversee and approve all member and client communication in the event that our client wishes to include you in an interview, product test, or other service beyond the scope of OpinionPLUS. If any of our clients or partners require a follow up or validation of a specific member, we will notify them within the survey invitation emails.

Secure Databases
OpinionPLUS stores personal and survey data in a server environments through the Kinesis Panel Platform.  Our data architecture is designed to never allow any Client or third party access to individual member data, or to correlate any data that might identify a participant.

When you enter sensitive information (such as health information) on our forms, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.  No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however.  Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Member Usernames
Members are assigned a non-traceable unique OpinionPLUS username that allows only OpinionPLUS to certify the authenticity of information we send to our clients. Our system is built to prevent the revealing of any individual identity.

User Access and Choice
If your personal information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update, or amend it by making the change on your account information page or by emailing us through our contact form at OpinionPLUS. We will respond to your request to access within 30 days.

Account Termination
Want to leave OpinionPLUS? You can do so in your member account. We will remove all personal, demographic, and member information from our databases (except for information required by law). We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services.  We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Browser Cookies and Tracking Technologies
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on this site. We [do/do not] link the information we store in cookies to any personal information you submit while on our site.

We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies.  A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser.  Session cookies enable OpinionPLUS to track your progress specific to studies you elect to participate in.  A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies enable OpinionPLUS to mark your progress in a specific study, should you decide to leave the study and return at a later time to finish.  You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” directory.

If you reject cookies, you may still use our site, but your ability to use some areas of our site, such as contests or surveys, will be limited.

The use of cookies by our tracking service providers is not covered by our privacy policy.  We do not have access or control over these cookies.  Our tracking service providers use both session ID and persistent cookies to provide accurate crediting of your survey taking efforts.

Our third party partners employ clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), images, and scripts that help them better manage content on our site. We do not tie the information gathered to our Customers’ or Users’ personal information.

As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files.  This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

We do not link this automatically-collected data to personal information.  [IP addresses are tied to personal information to prevent a single user from attempting to acquire multiple OpinionPLUS accounts.

Links to Third Party Sites
Our site includes links to other web sites whose privacy practices may differ from those of OpinionPLUS. If you submit personal information to any of those sites, your information is governed by their privacy policies and not those of OpinionPLUS. We strongly encourage you to carefully read any third party privacy policy if you intend to submit personal data to them.

We display personal testimonials of satisfied customers on our site in addition to other endorsements.  With your consent we may post your testimonial along with your name.  If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, please use our Contact Form

Social Media Widgets
Our website includes social media features, such as the Facebook 'Like' button and Share Widgets. These third party features may collect your IP address, record data about the page you're viewing, and set browser cookies to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are almost exclusively hosted by third party partners/services, so your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.

No Surprises
OpinionPLUS pledges to publically release any changes to our Privacy Policy or Terms of Service on this website at least seven days prior to any change being implemented. If OpinionPLUS intends to have a change in ownership, controlling interest, or material changes that would transfer ownership of data, Members will be notified by email (sent to the e-mail address specified in your account) or by means of a notice on this Site prior to any change, and can review any policy changes. members will be notified and can request immediate removal from the OpinionPLUS database.
